With our knowledge of the Florida property insurance market, Florida property
carriers will be a target market for Florida Re, recognising the demand for
reinsurance support among both domestic and foreign insurers in the region,
focusing on excess of loss and non-proportional reinsurance treaties.

Manoj founded a Lloyd’s Broking House as well as multiple MGAs, and he’s widely heralded for his innovative approach to risk management.
Alvaro Ortiz, MSIM, CPCU, ARe, ASLI, AIS, brings over 27 years of leadership in the insurance and reinsurance industries, driving innovation and growth across both commercial and personal lines. With a proven track record in underwriting and pricing large portfolios, he has successfully led the development of Insurance and Reinsurance Start-ups, Insurtech Start-ups, and Captive insurance solutions. Alvaro’s strategic vision has positioned him as a leader in strategic leadership, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Holding an MS in Insurance Management and multiple professional designations, he is known for his ability to inspire teams, deliver operational excellence, and lead organizations through complex challenges.
Jeremy Baczkiewicz JD, MBA, CPCU, ARe has over 20 years’ of P & C insurance experience, encompassing direct and independent agency business as well as managing personal and commercial lines departments with personal auto, homeowners, umbrella and commercial residential products. He also has experience developing new products, implementing new systems, mapping and testing third-party integrations, and handling market conduct exams and compliance standards in states such as Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Jeremy is admitted to practice law in Florida as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Florida Re will provide insurance solutions in commercial residential and non-residential across North America, and reinsurance support across North America and internationally, focusing on excess of loss and non-proportional reinsurance treaties.
